Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using BTC.jobs ("the Platform," "we," "our," or "us"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service. These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including visitors, job posters, and administrators.

Description of Service

BTC.jobs is a job board platform for the Bitcoin community. We provide a platform where users can post and discover Bitcoin-related job opportunities. The Platform requires Lightning Network payments for job postings and integrates with BTC.email infrastructure for authentication.

Eligibility and Account Requirements

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age.

Account Requirements

To post jobs on BTC.jobs, you must:

• Have a valid account with BTC.email
• Possess an active @btc.email email address
• Complete email verification
• Agree to these Terms of Service

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Job Posting Rules and Guidelines

Acceptable Content

Job postings must:

• Be related to Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency, or related technologies
• Be accurate and truthful
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Not contain spam, scams, or fraudulent content
• Not contain discriminatory language or practices
• Not infringe on intellectual property rights

Prohibited Content

You may not post jobs that:

• Promote illegal activities
• Involve scams, fraud, or deceptive practices
• Contain hate speech, harassment, or threats
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Are spam or duplicate postings
• Contain adult content or inappropriate material

Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any job posting that violates these Terms or our community guidelines. We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.

Payment Terms

Payment Requirement

All job postings require a payment of 100 sats (satoshis) via the Lightning Network. Payment must be completed before a job posting is published and made visible on the Platform.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed through Voltage's Lightning Network infrastructure. We do not store payment card information. Payment invoices expire after 60 minutes if not paid. Unpaid job drafts may be deleted by users or automatically removed after expiration.

Refunds

All payments are final. We do not offer refunds for job postings once payment is confirmed and the job is published. If you believe a refund is warranted due to an error on our part, please contact us.

Payment Retry

If a payment invoice expires or fails, you may create a new payment invoice for the same job draft through your profile page.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Respect the rights of other users
• Not use the Platform for illegal purposes
• Not interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Not use automated systems to access the Platform without permission

Intellectual Property

Platform Content

The Platform, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

You retain ownership of content you post on the Platform. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the Platform and in connection with our services.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BTC.JOBS AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any job posting or information on the Platform. We are not responsible for the content of job postings or the actions of job posters or applicants.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BTC.jobs and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable arbitration rules, unless otherwise required by law.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
